General Practices Nurse(s)

Port Augusta Medical Centre is seeking passionate and experienced Practice Nurses to join our team located in Port Augusta, Country SA. Multiple positions available with flexible hours available.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the medical practitioner in delivering medical services: patient triage, acute illness, health assessments /injury management, rehabilitation and chronic disease management
• Co-ordination of the treatment room, stock control, general maintenance and care of medical instruments, and equipment
• Implementing and practicing infection control
• Supporting patients to better self-manage their conditions through conducting health assessments, preparation of GP management plans and coordination of Team Care Arrangements.
• Use computer-based delivery systems and complete electronic documentation
• Compliance with legislation and accreditation standards

Requirements

• Current nursing registration with AHPRA – Registered Nurse (Div 1) is desirable but not essential
• A caring, responsible nature and the ability to provide the highest quality of care and customer service
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Outstanding negotiation, conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
• Ability to multi-task, work quickly and efficiently, be organised and thorough, work in a team and follow instructions
• Current CPR training
• Current national police clearance check
• A valid Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain
