About the Role
Based in either our Burnie or Launceston offices (dependent on successful candidate), the Senior Clinician will provide clinical supervision to Clinicians, providing knowledge and expertise in the form of clinical assessment, care planning, intervention and clinical case management to support our clients. The Senior Clinician may support clients in Disability, Mental Health, Out of Home Care and other service areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular individual and group supervision, and training for a multidisciplinary team to promote best practice, support Clinicians to deliver service requirements and maintain clinician competency standards.
- Model and lead the required work environment, culture, systems and processes necessary to embed standards, behaviours and practices consistent with the values and policy & legislative requirements
- Monitor, coach, support, motivate and develop team members to enable them to deliver to the best of their ability
- Oversee and participate in intake assessment and triage, including participating in a regular duty roster to ensure timely access to support clients
- Develop comprehensive formulations and risk assessments to inform appropriate intervention.
- Administer, interpret and report on a range of assessments as appropriate consistent with professional registrations and client need
- Provide a range of evidence-based psychological interventions to individuals/groups presenting with multiple and complex.
- A tertiary degree in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Mental Health Nursing or other relevant qualification
- Current full registration or eligibility for registration, with the relevant professional organisation/s
- Demonstrated experience operating within both internal and external Clinical Governance frameworks
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to build a shared understanding of, and commitment to the organisation’s Purpose and Values
- Highly developed analytical skills and demonstrated experience in carrying out clinical assessments, developing care plans, and intervention with clients, using a range of evidence based psychological interventions.
- The ability to work collaboratively with agencies that support people with complex and challenging needs such as with mental health services, GPs, Psychiatrists, or other statutory or community based services.
