We are seeking an experienced Project Officer to work within the Cancer Prevention and Research Division and Cancer Smart Team.

Reporting to the Cancer Smart Manager and working with internal and external stakeholders you will support the WA Clinical Oncology Group (WACOG) Senior Coordinator to ensure the successful delivery of the medical specialist education project.

Your other main responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in the planning of and reporting on the current status of all project activities and ensure they are implemented
  • Continuously monitor and analyse the project process and identify areas for growth and development
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders

Who are you?

To be successful in this role you will have the following key attributes:

  • A tertiary qualification in a health related profession
  • Demonstrated 2+ years’ experience in a project role
  • Event planning and stakeholder engagement experience
  • Knowledge of cancer control issues is desirable
  • Experience or understanding of WAs health system is desirable
  • Strong verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Proven organisational skills with strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the values of Cancer Council WA
  • Actively foster the development of a culture consistent with the values of Cancer Council WA
  • Positive approach to the workplace

Based in Subiaco, this position is a full time and fixed term until 31 December 2019. You will be required to work outside of normal business hours to attend medical specialist education events.
