About the Role
An exciting opportunity exists to join our growing team of trans-disciplinary specialists as a Speech Pathologist within our School Age Services Team, based in East Fremantle.
Our Speech Pathologists:
- Manage a caseload of children and adolescents.
- Work in close collaboration with teachers, support staff, workplaces and community organisations to facilitate the participation and inclusion of the person with Autism.
- Contribute professional skills and knowledge, including discipline specific expertise to their colleagues within the team.
Key Requirements
We are looking for a dynamic Speech Pathologist who enjoys working to improve the lives of school aged children with ASD. The successful applicant will have:
- A Bachelor (or Masters) in Speech Pathology or equivalent.
- Membership with Speech Pathology Australia
- Strong clinical experience in working in the field of disability
- Experience working effectively with people with a range of disabilities; children and/or adults.
- Sound problem-solving and organisational skills.
- Ability to contribute to a multi-disciplinary team.
Desirable
- Demonstrated experience in working with people with Autism Spectrum Disorder
- Theoretical understanding of Autism and implications for Speech Pathology
- Demonstrated experience working in a transdisciplinary model
