We are a mixed gender facility with 2 units accommodating 50 beds with a dedicated multidisciplinary team helping to significantly improve the lives of consumers.
A job to be proud of:
- Engage with consumers to provide individualised terapeutic interventions and information, to support consumer's awareness of options about care and recovery.
- Provide assessment and planning to meet the needs of consumers and their family/carers
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to share knowledge of individual's needs and challenges, to support a team approach to care and planning
- Promote and contribute to the activity and participation program by co-facilitating activities with consumers which support their recovery.
Your contribution
- A Bachelor Degree in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing or equivalent, or a Bachelor Degree in Nursing or equivalent plus an approved postgraduate qualification in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing.
- Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Proven clinical ability with knowledge of professional supervision and practice based research
- Demonstrated capacity and initiative to work with limited direction.
- Ability to problem solve, negotiate and communicate with staff and other service providers
- Ability to provide high quality education in Psychiatric Nursing to student nurses
