The role:

Nursing Education are currently recruiting for a part time Clinical Support Nurse based in Butterfly- NICU. This role is ongoing and/or fixed term, minimum of 32 hours per fortnight.

 

As the Clinical Support Nurse you will work as a member of the Nursing Education Team and work in collaboration with the Nurse Unit Manager and the Butterfly Nursing Education Team to provide facilitated learning and leadership at the unit level to develop high quality clinical care skills with staff.

 

The role also contributes to hospital wide education programs within the areas of their expertise. The Clinical Support Nurse is an advanced clinical nurse who stimulates enquiry, reflection and the use of evidence in clinical practice to promote excellence in family centered care and advance practice change.

 

To be successful in this role you will bring:

  • Your current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum of three years within relevant area of specialty 
  • Preceptorship experience and knowledge
  • Experience in facilitation of clinical learning

It is also desirable that you will have:

  • A post graduate certificate/diploma in Nursing, Education, Paediatrics or equivalent
  • A Certificate IV in workplace training

Appointments are subject to a satisfactory police check and Working with Children Check.
