Our medical clinic is situated in the Weston Creek area, close to main roads and with free parking available nearby. We have multiple doctors and allied health providers working in our clinic, along with our dedicated reception staff.
The successful candidate will have exceptional critical thinking skills, the ability to think on their feet and to be flexible and have diverse clinical skills which will enable you to work effectively with our many varied clients.
Essential skills required include the ability to assist with minor surgical procedures, excellent observation skills and triage ability. You will need to be able to preform accurate patient assessment and implement preventative action. Other tasks required include medication administration, wound management and ECGs, ABIs, INRs, spirometry and patient education as necessary. You will need to be able to participate in chronic health assessments and care plans and provide some reception duties as required within the clinic. You will also be required to have your immunisation certificate with an in-depth understanding of the current childhood immunisation schedule, travel vaccines and seasonal influenza vaccination.
Stock management and autoclaving of surgical equipment is required along with facilitating our pathology and other recall system and the Co-odinated Veteran's Care Program.
Our medical software system is Genie and we use Mac computers. Full training will be provided to the successful candidate if required. Previous experience in general practice is essential.
Current clinic working hours are 8:00am - 6:00pm Monday to Friday and 8:30am - 1:30pm on Saturday. The successful candidate will need to be flexible within these hours. They will also need to be willing to work extra hours for sick leave/annual leave as required.
All entitlements and wages are set out by the Nurses Award 2010, however we are willing to negotiate for the right candidate.
