Occupational Therapist Employment Type: Casual Position Classification: Occupational Therapist Level 1/2 Remuneration: $30.85 - $44.70 per hour Requisition ID: REQ52785 The position is a casual appointment within a dynamic and exciting team within the NSR Occupational Therapy Department. You may have opportunity to work at either Royal North Shore Hospital, Ryde Hospital or Graythwaite Rehabilitation Service. Where you'll be working The Occupational Therapy Department NSR provides clinical services across multiple clinical areas. The position is responsible for assessment and planning to facilitate optimum function, & discharge planning as appropriate. What you'll be doing To provide a high level of occupational therapy services to patients and clients on a casual basis. Employees must abide by the NSW Health Code of Conduct. Criminal record checks will be undertaken on successful applicants and applicants for positions designated as Category A will be required to obtain required vaccinations prior to commencing employment. Candidates will need to meet the following criteria: Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them. Must hold registration with the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia. Proven ability to exercise professional judgement commensurate with years of experience and to establish effectively collaboratively working relationships within a multi-disciplinary team and inter-agency networks. Demonstrated well developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated computer literacy and ability to use health information systems Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage workload demands, meet deadlines and complete activities (including ability to work within scope of practice and seek assistance when required). Demonstrate skills and knowledge in the provision of Occupational Therapy service to consumers, carers and families requiring assessment, environmental modifications, home modifications, appropriate referral and discharge planning.
