The Practice and Training Specialist is responsible for providing ongoing supervision, training and professional development cross the footprint. You will work closely with the HR team to deliver initiative that will up-skill staff, promote best practices and wellbeing of the organisation reflective of their values and ethos.
This organisation is a not-for-profit organisation that has been supporting those who have been affected by domestic violence and child protection related issues and have been an excellent advocate to vulnerable members of the community.
As a successful Practice and Training Specialist you will be responsible for:
- Offer timely and effective supervision to all staff to promote best practice and conduct
- Initiate projects to strive for better service delivery and client satisfaction
- Participate in staff professional development and mentoring
- Regular assessment on therapy service staff’s caseload and self-care
- In conjunction with the senior team, provide expert advice to partake in strategy planning and operational planning
- Troubleshoot across different site to conduct risk assessment and analysis
As a successful Practice and Training Specialist you must have:
- A tertiary qualification in Psychology and a member of AHPRA (Must)
- Staff supervision experience
- Extensive knowledge and practical experience in child protection/ domestic violence
- Experience using e-learning and current counselling training platforms
- Extensive experience providing initiatives in HR, service delivery and staff wellbeing
- Proven skills in training, communication, mediation and negotiation
- Critical and analytical skills to maintain highly desirable work culture and environment
