Medical Secretary

A new exciting opportunity has arisen working for an Orthopaedic Surgeon at Geelong Orthopaedics. We are seeking an experienced Medical Secretary/Receptionist/ Executive Assistant/Account Manager to join our dynamic and growing practice on a Full Time basis Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

• Front of house reception.
• Answering telephones, assisting clients, other service providers and personnel.
• Greeting patients on arrival.
• Scheduling of patient appointments.
• Triaging and management of patient referrals and facilitating expeditious specialist review.
• Accountability for all referrals made to the practice including redirection where necessary within Geelong Orthopaedics.
• Organising theatre and hospital bookings & preparing patient quotes.
• Preparing, processing, managing and timely reconciliation of patient accounts and liaising with debt collectors.
• Account/book keeping duties.
• Ordering of prosthetics and liaising with medical prosthetic sales representatives.
• Scanning/maintenance of medical records.
• Proficient use of Genie software and Dragon dictation software.
• Liaising with other health care professionals, including but not limited to GPs, pathology, anaesthetists, theatre staff, practice nurse & manager.

Experience with Genie software essential and Dragon dictation desirable. Experience in surgical private practice desirable.
