Medacs Healthcare is an Allied Health and Clinical Governance staffing business, a part of the Medacs Global Group (MGG). Medacs Healthcare specialise in the supply of temporary and permanent staff throughout Australasia and around the world. We have been operating in Australasia for 18 years and globally for nearly thirty years.
Medacs Healthcare are currently recruiting Advanced Clinical Coders for contract work in the South West region of Sydney NSW, due to increasing work demands. The position is primarily responsible for the timely and accurate coding of patient’s episodes of care.
Skills and experience required:
- Qualifications in Health Information Management, Clinical Coding or equivalent (such as completed the HIMAA intermediate/advanced certificates)
- Comprehensive knowledge and successful completion of a recognised ICD - 10- AM (10TH Edition) coding course with achievement of a high standard of accuracy
- Previous coding experience in a large tertiary and or metro hospital setting
- Sound knowledge of the DRG allocation process
- Experience using 3M Codefinder and Patient Administration Systems and other electronic medical record systems
- Ability to liaise with all levels of clinical and non-clinical staff
- Demonstrated organisational skills, confident and resourceful in approach
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Disciplined, organised, innovative and a self-starter
