Hospital Cleaner
DEPARTMENT: HOUSEKEEPING ENVIRONMENTAL SERVICES
Environmental Services Housekeeping Specialists
Glen Iris Private is seeking a professional, passionate and highly experienced cleaner to work with the Environmental Services team. This can be a job share role, however you must have the flexibility to cover unexpected sick leave and annual leave.
Shifts Monday-Friday:
- Afternoon /evening (usually 7pm-11pm).
- Day shift from 12.30pm-1.30pm 2 Fridays per month.
Duties:
- Ensure Rooms and Public areas, Clinical areas are cleaned thoroughly and of a high standards at all times
- Assist Supervisors as directed
- Work both undirected and in a team environment
- Honesty and integrity when dealing and incorporating our hospital mission and values within every facet of our daily operations.
Selection Criteria:
- Recent extensive experience in a Hospital environment (2 years). Preference will be given to applicants with recent experience of operating theatre cleaning and or a hospital certificate in cleaning.
- Extremely high standard of cleanliness and attention to detail.
- Hard working
- Being able to work in a team or unsupervised
- Punctual and reliable, Well groomed, as well as excellent communication and customer service skills
- Be able to work a roster with 5 day availability including weekdays, morning and afternoon shifts if required. Some Saturday shifts may also be required.
- Will be required to submit a recent police check.
