This is a great opportunity to join an established Plastic & Cosmetic Surgery practice in a full-time support role. You will be the ideal candidate if:
· You are an experienced specialist surgical practice receptionist with greater than 3 years experience, with a warm & friendly telephone manner and excellent ability to engage potential patients when they call for information; if you have good IT skills and have extensive experience with Genie Solutions medical software.
MUST HAVES:
GENIE (Plastic Surgery)
HIC Online
Electronic billing & receipting (Medicare & private health funds)
Management and co-ordination of patient bookings, Day Hospital admission,
Clinical coding an advantage
· You are experienced in assisting with reporting for surgical audits and managing practice administration such as practice meetings, minutes, actions, conference attendance, organisation of surgical theatre/hospital bookings, patient files and accounts, all aspects of surgeon support, etc;
· You have a number of years' experience in a similar role, understand the process of practice accreditation and QLD Day Hospital Licensing and have experience in assisting with the creation and maintenance of Policy and Procedures for the practice.
This is an unusual position, in that the successful candidate will have extensive skills and experience, not just in the 'behind the scenes' operation of a medical/surgical practice (policy, procedures, accreditation, IT hardware and software, PA/administrative/housekeeping functions), but will also have a flair for genuine customer service and marketing & PR functions.
We are looking for an 'all-round contributor' to the practice, who will help make the lives of the medical staff ordered and productive, and who will also help provide a positive experience for both the staff and the patients.
This full-time position would cover 5 days per week 8.00am to 5.00pm, with one Saturday a month.
The role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
• Answer telephone and email enquiries
• Make and confirm patient appointments (computerised)
• Meet and greet patients on arrival at practice
• Organise theatre/hospital bookings
• Prepare quotes for patients
• Set up files for new patients
• Prepare and receipt patient accounts
• GENIE Solutions software experience essential
Required Experience and Attributes
• Computer literacy – proficiency in Genie Solutions (Plastic Surgery) is essential, and knowledge of Day Hospital software.
• Professional warm and friendly telephone manner and presentation
• Ability to work flexibly within a small team environment and to respond quickly and efficiently to the needs of a busy practice
• Enthusiasm, professionalism and dedication to the role
• Previous specialist surgery office experience
General office cleaning & housekeeping duties
