About the Role
The Staff Specialist will provide high quality clinical care to both adult and paediatric patients presenting to the Logan Emergency Department. The Staff Specialist will also be responsible for direct supervision of junior medical officers in the Emergency Department.
- Manage patient flow within the Emergency Department liaising as required with inpatient teams and medical administration.
- Consult and cooperate with other hospital staff as required with respect to patient management and other related issues.
- Arrange patient management in accordance with the best interests of the patient.
- Implement and support clinical models of care and patient safety initiatives as required.
