The Kirketon Road Centre (KRC) is a primary health care facility located in Kings Cross, involved in the prevention, treatment and care of HIV/AIDS and other transmissible infections among ’at-risk’ young people, sex workers and people who inject drugs. This position will co-ordinate and provide clinical outreach for marginalised populations in particular people who are homeless and people who inject drugs. This will include the provision of physical health care in a variety of outreach settings including the NSW Users and AIDS Association (NUAA), the Sydney Medically Supervised Injecting Centre (MSIC), from the KRC outreach bus including in the evenings and from the clinics at KRC and Clinic 180. This position will provide advanced, evidence-based primary health care nursing with a focus on hepatitis C, HIV, sexual health and drug and alcohol nursing. Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse. Minimum five years full time equivalent, post graduate qualification experience and a post graduate qualification in a relevant field of practice. Proven recent experience in the delivery of clinical services to marginalised populations Proven clinical leadership skills and an ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework with a demonstrated commitment to excellence in nursing practice. Demonstrated effective communication and inter-personal skills across a variety of mediums. Demonstrated ability to contribute to strategic and clinical service planning.Ability to apply clinical expertise in client-centred consultancy Proven skills in clinical teaching, the identification of education needs in the clinical area, and competency in the use of contemporary information systems. The ability to work independently in a range of settings including outreach locations and in partnership with other agencies including community organisations. Need more information?
