Where you'll be working Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH) is a major metropolitan tertiary referral hospital and a principal provider of specialist healthcare. It remains one of the nation’s most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities. What you'll be doing Under the general direction from the manager and in accordance with the functional requirements of the line area, undertake a combination of keyboard, clerical and administration and other duties within the Neurosciences Ambulatory Care including Stroke Clinics. This will include reception duties, data entry, filing, telephone enquiries, patient bookings, billings, correspondence and other duties as directed by the Office Manager, Head of Dept or Clinical Manager. Selection Criteria Excellent communication skills, with the ability to communicate with a wide range of customers internally and externally both verbally and in writing. Demonstrated experience with computers and software packages, eg MS Word, Excel, Outlook, databases. Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and adapt to constantly changing demands. Demonstrated ability to work in a team and individually. Previous experience in a hospital or medical environment. Previous experience in data collection and data entry with attention to detail and accuracy. Proven organisational skills with an ability to priorities workload to meet deadlines in a high volume environment.
