Operations Assistant - Operating Suite Employment Type: Permanent Full Time Position Classification: Operations Assistant Remuneration: $51,187.18 - $52,606.43 Hours Per Week: 38 Requisition ID: REQ52383 Where you'll be working Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. What you'll be doing The Operations Assistant supports health professionals in the delivery of patient care. Under the direction of medical and nursing staff, The Operations Assistant maintains and provides equipment that assists in patient care delivery and is responsible for the transportation of patients throughout the Operating Suite, recovery and to the High Dependency Units. Essential Criteria Vaccination Category: A Checks: Working with Children Check and National Criminal Record Check Selection Criteria Ability to demonstrate experience in patient transportation and positioning within an Operating Suite and ability to adapt to the demands of a Perioperative environment. Sound knowledge of Operating Suite equipment and maintenance. Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of Work Health and Safety and Manual handling principles and requirements. Proven ability to communicate with a variety of patients, staff, and managers. Demonstrated experience working in a multidisciplinary team environment. Need more information?
