With around 241,000 residents living within our District we employ approximately 3,500 staff who work in our 30 facilities and support services. Our facilities include a Base and District Hospitals, Multi-Purpose Services and Community Health Facilities. About the job These new positions will form part of the MLHD Nurse Bank. Nurse Bank staff are permanent employees who will be rostered to facilities across the MLHD. The Transition to Professional Practice Registered Nurse will responsible for the delivery of nursing care at any of the 30 Health Service facilities across the MLHD (exuding Wagga Wagga Base Hospital) Suitability qualified staff will be employed on a permanent basis with MLHD. Staff are rostered in advance like other employees. Staff are afforded all other award provisions such as leave, sick leave and ADOs if applicable. Staff location will change based on organisational needs. Each rotation will be a minimum of 2 weeks and maximum of 12 weeks at any one site. Staff employed as RN1’s will be included in the MLHD Transition to Professional Practice program, inclusive of study days. What are we looking for? We are seeking candidates with the following: Staff must be able to travel, are flexible, agile and professional. Be a solid all-rounder and be committed to working towards take on the role as sole RN in Charge at any of the 30 Health Service sites. Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA), with demonstrated evidence to meet the NMBA's Registered Nurse professional standards (code of conduct, code of ethics, guide to professional boundaries, supervision guidelines and standards for practice) commensurate with the position. Demonstrates continuous quality improvement with the ability to: comprehensively conduct assessments; develop a plan for nursing practice; provide safe, appropriate and responsive quality nursing practice; and evaluates outcomes to inform nursing practice. Demonstrated competencies in and/or knowledge of the complexities and challenges involved in caring for individuals/patients/clients/consumers for the position What can we offer you?
