About the role:
Reporting into the Clinic Manager, the Day Surgery Manager also known as the Director of Nursing (DON) exists to:

• Provide strategic and operational leadership, governance, and direction for the nursing services within the day surgery and monitor and evaluate clinical practice and service delivery standards.
• Attain and maintain accreditation and regulatory compliance of the day surgery’s facilities and for risk management.
• Lead and manage day surgery staff
• Coordinate and support the journey of IVF patients and manage a patient load

The successful candidate will bring: 

• Tertiary qualifications in Nursing
• Current AHPRA Registration
• Minimum of five (5) years post basic or post graduate nursing experience
• Previous administration experience in a position equivalent to, or more senior than, nursing unit manager in a private health facility or a public hospital
• Contemporary and broad knowledge of the New South Wales healthcare sector
• Knowledge of healthcare quality systems, accreditation processes and regulation
• Business process analysis and process reengineering skills
• The confidence and desire to lead others
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including presentation skills
• Knowledge of Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART)
• Highly organised with excellent time management and attention to detail
• Dynamic, flexible and adaptable
• A vibrant team player with a strong interest and passion in a growth industry.
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills
