The organization is a local not for profit health provider and is responsible for providing allied health services to a wide range of clients from all walks of life in the local community. The local community rely on services such as this to provide care and treatment for a range of conditions. There is an already established team consisting of a number of allied health staff including occupational therapists, podiatrists, speech pathologists, nurses and a team of 3 other Occupational Therapists.
About the Job
You will work as part of the busy allied healthcare team under the allied health manager. You will work closely as part of a MDT, providing services to a range of clients with a wide range of conditions. An experienced occupational therapist is required due to the autonomy required in this role. Those with under 4 years of previous experience may not be considered however should call for more details. Given the nature of the service, presentation will vary offering a wide range of clinical experience. It’s likely you will gain exposure to a wide range of patients presenting with various conditions such as general disabilities, orthopaedic, neurological and other conditions.
Day to day duties will include:
- Working one to one with clients, families and other members of the team
- Providing treatment, education and guidance
- Facilitating reviews, compiling reports and over service review
- Work with a large network of clients
- Create and review care and treatment plans based on individual needs
Skills and Experience
- Ability to engage clients from a range of backgrounds
- At least 4 years of previous experience
- Full registration with no practice limitations
- Eligibility to work and live in Australia
- Educational or operational experience
