Variety of Experience
One of the best things about working at Communicate is variety. Our mixed caseloads and the multiple settings in which we work ensure that our therapists are constantly provided with opportunities to develop their skills across many areas. In a typical day, you could be working at a school, visiting early intervention clients in their homes, presenting to teachers at a high-school or completing dysphagia assessments in a nursing home.

About the Role:
We have one full time speech pathology role in Canberra and one full time role in the Batemans Bay area.
This positions require you to provide mobile services to both paediatric and adult clients presenting with a wide variety of communication disorders. You will work across different settings including homes, schools, pre-schools, supported workplaces, aged care facilities and assisted living environments.
You must possess the following attributes:
- A self-starter
- Mature minded
- Highly motivated to achieve positive outcomes for our clients
- Your own car to travel between appointments
- Show initiative
- Able to work independently
- Professional & empathetic in your approach
Skills & Experience:
- Ideally 1+ years of paediatric and adult Speech Pathology experience, however, new grads are welcome to apply
- Supervision opportunities for more experienced therapists
- Have experience working with children and adults with a disability or autism
- Have a practising membership with Speech Pathology Australia
- Be willing to undertake a Working With Children Check and obtain an ACT Working with Vulnerable People card
- Registered with Medicare, Provider no. at commencement
- Demonstrate a commitment to ongoing Professional Development
