Our client is a public hospital based in the Taranaki Region. Located halfway between Auckland and Wellington on New Zealand’s west coast, the Taranaki region is a mecca for outdoor enthusiasts. Our client is currently seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join their team. You will be responsible for providing an occupational therapy service to clients on the older persons health and rehabilitation wards. This includes developing and implementing rehabilitation programmes on the wards, pre-discharge and post-discharge community follow-up.

Ideally you will have relevant clinical expertise in acute rehabilitation, acute inpatients, neurology/stroke. Experience of using FIM (functional independence measure), InterRAI assessment and in developing and implementing quality initiatives would be preferred. You must have a Degree/Diploma in Occupational Therapy recognized by the OTBNZ as being eligible for registration and hold a full, clean driver’s license.
