Where you'll be working (Negotiable)

At Murrumbidgee Local Health District we provide a range of public health services to the Riverina and Murray regions of New South Wales across a geographic area of approximately 125,631 square kilometres.  With around 241,000 residents living within our District we employ approximately 3,500 staff who work in our 31 facilities and support services.  Our facilities include a Rural Referral Hospital, Base and District Hospitals, Multi-Purpose Services and Community Health Facilities.


 
What you'll be doing

The daily provision of radiographic services relating to breast imaging and related client care for the rostered service. This includes the management of screening services within the Funding and Performance Agreement Cancer Institute NSW, the policies and guidelines of the Breast Screen NSW program and NSW Health and the National Accreditation Standards.  

What we are looking for

  • Must have AHPRA registration or Graduate Diploma of Mammography, have a current relevant NSW EPA Radiation license. Class C drivers licence and be willing to travel long distances.
  • Certificate of Clinical Proficiency in Mammography or equivalent, or willingness to work towards. On site training will be provided to a successful candidate if required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of the BreastScreen Australia Program and an understanding of the National Accreditation Standards
  • Being a person of female gender is a genuine occupational qualification for this position under section 31H of the Anti-discrimination Act.
  • Job share will be considered for this position.
