About the Role
- Permanent, Full/Part Time at Sunshine Hospital - Melbourne
- Support to consolidate clinical knowledge and skills in key areas including antenatal clinic, postnatal care in the home and maternity assessment centre – including emergency care
- Contribute to Models of Care for our brand new Hospital opening in early 2019
- Opportunities to work across the maternity continuum, including preparation for Midwifery Group Practice and Homebirth
Seeking Registered Midwives (RM) with sound clinical abilities and a willingness to develop their skills and knowledge in a family focused, progressive and innovative Maternity Service. Join the team and contribute to positive change to facilitate our move to the purpose built Joan Kirner Women’s and Children’s Hospital. We offer midwives opportunities to work across their full scope of practice, in addition to support to consolidate clinical knowledge and skills in key areas.
Essential Criteria
- Successful completion of a Bachelor of Nursing/Midwifery qualification or equivalent
- Registration as a Registered Nurse/Midwife in Australia
- Completion of graduate year
- Effective organisational skills, with respect to time management and delegation
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to practice collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary health care team
- Skills and experience to work across the scope of midwifery practice
- A commitment to high quality, safe and person centred patient care
