Northern Health provides a diverse range of acute, sub-acute and community health services to the large and diverse population in the regions north of Melbourne. Our five campuses offer services to a vastly diverse community at all stages of life.
Northern Health is seeking qualified, dynamic medical personnel to undertake HMO positions in our busy Emergency Department at The Northern Hospital.
6 or 12 month positions are available.
The Northern Hospital Emergency Department is amongst the busiest in Victoria, treating over 76,000 patients annually. We experience a diverse mix of presentations ranging from complex medical, surgical, trauma, obstetrics and gynaecology and paediatrics. Paediatric presentations account for 25 per cent of our total patient presentations.
Our ED has recently undergone a significant redeveloped to be able to manage the increasing complexity and capacity of patients from the rapid growth corridor of the northern suburbs of Melbourne and surrounding regional catchments. With a dedicated paediatric treatment area, 5 brand new state of the art resuscitation cubicles, a new model of care and innovative practice our ED is moving from strength to strength.
This position is well suited to those interested in undertaking either General Practice or ED registrar training and is well supported with access to high quality education and clinical support programs coordinated via dedicated Emergency Consultants.
