About the role:
The successful applicant will possess the following:
- Have a genuine interest in and respect for the unique personality, history and values of our residents
- Possess a compassionate, caring and supportive nature
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Display a relationship centred approach to care and supervision
- Successful applicants must have a certificate III in Aged Care and an interest in assisting with physiotherapy
What you will be doing:
- Effective liaison with residents and their families, Government agencies and allied health professionals
- Ensuring compliance with Living Care WHS and manual handling policies & procedures;
- Liaise with Manager and physiotherapist on specific manual handling, lifting requirements, and physical therapy needs of individual residents;
- Assist in identification, prevention, assessment and elimination of manual handling risks;
- Promote safe manual handling including correct use of manual handling equipment and safe working practices;
- Participation in accident prevention processes.
