2019 Graduate Nurse Program
An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated individual to join GV Health as a Graduate Nurse. The Graduate Nurse will rotate through various clinical departments throughout 2019.

 

All graduate nurse positions will be allocated at 64 hours per fortnight.

The Position

This position supports the transition of the new graduate Registered Nurse to independent practice by supporting learning needs, enhancing clinical exposure, and setting professional practices that encourage lifelong learning. Double degree midwifery graduate welcome to apply to have a combined midwifery and general graduate program. 6 months in both midwifery and general program will be offered.

What are we looking for?

The successful applicant will have:

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse commencing in 2019
  • Willingness to commit to the requirements of a Graduate Nurse or Midwife Program;
  • The applicant will be self-motivated with communication, organisational and time management skills;
  • Applicants should also possess excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills and be able to work effectively within a team environment;
  • A sound knowledge of computer based software applications including Word/Excel/database management systems is also required.

Goulburn Valley Health (GV Health) is located in Shepparton in central Victoria and is just 2 hours’ drive north of Melbourne with proximity to alpine snowfields, rivers and lakes, wineries and the arts. GV Health is the major Public Health Service for the Hume Region, with main campuses located at Shepparton, Tatura and Rushworth and additional sites in Shepparton, Seymour, Benalla and Wodonga. GV Health provides a range of acute, mental health, aged and primary health and community support services across the Goulburn Valley Sub Region of the Department of Human Services, Hume Region. The main campus is the major acute referral site for the sub region.
