An exciting opportunity has become available for a highly motivated, and experienced Medical Receptionist to join our dedicated team, who will positively contribute to the exceptional care of our patients.
The successful candidate will have the following attributes:
- Willing to travel between our clinics located at Carrum, Somerville, Tyabb, Hastings and Bittern
- Well presented and punctual with high level of attention to detail and self motivation to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the practice
- Excellent phone manner and experience in patient triaging
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask
- Demonstrate knowledge and experience working with MS Office and Best Practice
- Available to work flexible hours, 15+ hours a week (including some late shifts required ending at 11pm)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team with a 'can do' attitude
- A high professional work ethic with compassion and commitment to patient care
- An understanding of legal patient confidentiality
Duties Include:
- Support the team of General Practitioners, Practice Nurses, Allied Health Professionals and Management
- Schedule patient appointments and answering general queries
- Attending to a high volume of calls and emails
- Monitoring and attending to correspondence between patients and doctors
- Processing payments and invoicing
- General housekeeping duties including: general tidying of clinic rooms, clinic waiting areas, kitchen clean up and replenishing items in mentioned areas
- Opening and closing the Practice
- Administrative support when required
