We're looking for you.

We're looking for people like you that have worked with case managing complex and high-risk individuals. Someone with your experience of working in best practice risk management initiatives and therapeutic work. Someone that knows they can make a difference and thrives in developing staff to meet their full potential.

You'll also have your full licence, as you'll be regularly traveling around the region, occasionally overnight.

Who are we?

Principal Practitioner - Corella Place x 1 Ongoing, full time

We are part of Corrections Victoria's Post Sentence Branch which was established in 2006 in order to provide a coordinated and integrated approach to the management of post-sentence sex offenders across both prison services and community corrections.

Corella Place is a Transitional Accommodation Facility that enhances the protection of the community by providing accommodation for sex offenders when suitable accommodation elsewhere in the community is not available. Corella Place operates at three sites.

The supervision of Corella Place residents is guided by the Risk, Needs, Responsivity principles using a  strengths-based approach both of which are an integral part of the Corrections Victoria Offender Management Framework.

Principal Practitioner - Community Correctional Services x 1 Ongoing, full time

Community Correctional Services (CCS), is overseen by Corrections Victoria, a division of the Department of Justice and Regulation. CCS is responsible for the management and supervision of prisoners on parole, clients under post sentence supervision and court orders.

CCS is currently experiencing rapid growth in the offender population. In response to this, Corrections Victoria will embed evidence based practice across all areas of our work and target responses to the areas that will allow the greatest impacts to be made. This approach will contribute to a safer community and strengthen CCS for the future.

Why work with us?

At the Department of Justice and Regulation, we provide every person with the means to achieve their potential through ongoing learning and development opportunities in a diverse, equitable and supportive environment.

We look for people who are prepared to do their very best in line with our values and behaviours. Our values shape and influence how we recruit, train and develop our staff and build relationships with stakeholders.

We will also provide you with professional development opportunities, an employee assistance program, access to job opportunities across the Victorian Government, salary packaging and much more.

The department is committed to the safety and wellbeing of children and recognises that children's rights need to be respected, their views welcomed and valued, and their concerns taken seriously and acted upon.
