Southern.IML Pathology, a Sonic Healthcare subsidiary, is seeking to recruit a full time multi-skilled medical scientist to work in the Wollongong area. This position is an integral part of the service we provide to the local private hospital and medical community.
The Wollongong laboratory operates extended hours, 7 days/week with shift work and participation in a after hours on call roster.
The successful applicant must have previous experience in a multi-skilled role performing diagnostic testing in core disciplinary areas of Blood Bank, Haematology and Biochemistry.
The ability to work within a busy team environment as well as individually, communicate effectively with healthcare professionals, flexibility and reliability are essential attributes.
The successful applicant is required to reside within 20 minutes traveling time of the laboratory to satisfy on-call requirements.
The successful applicant must hold an AIMS accredited degree or have been assessed as a medical laboratory scientist by AIMS.
