A casual position is available for a Medical Histology Typist in our busy Wollongong Anatomical Pathology department. The position primarily involves Dictaphone typing and liaising with doctors.
The successful applicant will be an accurate typist with a typing speed of at least 60wpm, have medical terminology skills and dicta-phone experience along with a pleasant phone manner. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both alone and as part of a team are essential as well as a keen interest in developing new and improved systems used by the team.
Ideally the successful applicant will have a Medical Administration Certificate. Knowledge and experience in Medical Histology Typing and Microsoft Applications is an advantage.
There are no set hours for this position. The department hours are from 7.30am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday.
