The Role 

We are seeking motivated, innovative and patient-care orientated Cardiac/Coronary Care Registered Nurses, with recent experience working in coronary care or acute cardiac nursing, to be part of our new 5 East ward team at Epworth Geelong. Our 5 East ward will provide excellent care to our cardiac and coronary care patients in our 8 bed monitored CCU and telemetry monitored beds. This role is an exciting opportunity for flexible and adaptable Cardiac Registered Nurses who are happy to be part of our complex care team. Holding or working towards a post graduate qualification in Critical Care is highly desired. 

Key areas of focus for this role include:

  • Delivering an exceptional patient experience
  • Ensuring patient flow is managed whilst providing high standards of patient care
  • Role-model empathy to patients, families and medical consultants  

Please note that interviews will be conducted progressively between now and shortly after the closing date in January 2018.

About you

To be successful in the role you will:

  • Have a friendly disposition
  • Be passionate about patient care and achieving high quality clinical outcomes
  • Have a contemporary knowledge of best practice in coronary care nursing care and the patient journey
  • Have availability to participate in rotating rosters across a 7 day service
  • Hold or working towards a relevant post graduate qualification in critical care nursing or extensive experience in critical care (highly desired).
  • Possess current nursing registration with AHPRA
