• Multiple roles available | Ongoing Part time and fixed term part time
• Work a 24/7 rotating roster

About South 6

South 6 is a slow stream rehabilitation and geriatric evaluation unit. We pride ourselves in providing excellent patient care to assist patients get back into the community.

About you

As an experienced registered Nurse you will have the ability to lead by example utilize your strong Rehab/Gem experience. The successful candidate will have the following:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Recent experience in an acute/sub-acute setting
• Ability to provide patient centred care
• Excellent leadership qualities and understanding of the managerial role
• Experience with working in a multi-disciplinary team
• Ability to apply research findings into clinical practice
• Ability to build and manage stakeholder relationships.

You will have access to resources to support you in this position, enabling you to further advance your rehab nursing and leadership skills whilst role modelling nursing excellence and delivering a high standard of patient centred care.  

About the Role

 Reporting to the Nurse Manager, your duties will include:

• Leading the nursing team
• Manage allocation of employees
• Assist Registered Nurses with complex clinical issues
• Assist with discharge planning in a multi-disciplinary team
• Attend case conferences
• Manage patient flow

• Current AHPRA registration
• Working with Children’s Check
• Proven clinical experience
• Australian working rights
