The Department
APU is a surgical ward providing 24/7 nursing care which also includes a day of surgery admission, assessment and post-procedural care area.
APU provides care across a diverse range of specialities which include Urology, Breast and Endocrine, Orthopaedics, Ear Nose and Throat, Plastics, and General Surgery. It is a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a diverse and complex patient group.
Our passionate and highly skilled multi-disciplinary team work together to achieve excellence in patient care.
The Role
As Associate Nurse Manager you are a member of the nursing leadership team on the ward who assists the Nurse Unit Manager to operationalise the core values of the organisation and plays a pivotal role in meeting broader organisational imperatives.
While in the role you will portray excellence in clinical practice and promote the development of nurses, ensuring the philosophy of nursing and standards of practice are consistently reflected in professional practice and patient care.
As Associate Nurse Manager, you will be a vital part of the team. Together with the Nurse Manager, the Associate Nurse Manager is responsible for managing clinical risk and implementing systems and processes to improve patient outcomes.
