Administration Officer - Community Eye Clinic Employment Type: Permanent Part Time Position Classification: Administration Officer Level 3 Remuneration: $28.60 - $29.54 per hour Hours Per Week: 24 Requisition ID: REQ53877 Where you'll be working Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) is responsible for providing primary and secondary health care for people living in the Auburn, Blacktown, and The Hills Shire, Holroyd and Parramatta Local Government Areas (LGAs) and tertiary care to residents of the Greater Western Region. What you'll be doing Community Eye Care is an award winning and innovative service, which has changed the way that health care is being delivered. C-EYE-C relies on collaboration between hospital and community based providers to streamline services, and improve patient access to eye care. The administration officer is a hospital outpatient based role that will support the delivery of services for the Community Eye Care clinic & Department of Ophthalmology at Westmead Hospital. The role will deliver high quality, timely, and accurate administrative tasks to support members of the health care team and our external partners under the direction of the Service Coordinator. The administration officer will work closely with the existing administration teams in the Department of People with disabilities who meet the selection criteria are encouraged to apply; and where required, WSLHD will implement reasonable adjustment consistent with industry standard. Essential Criteria Vaccination Category: B Checks: National Criminal Record Check Selection Criteria Experience with hospital IT applications including but not limited to iPM (Hospital Patient Management System) and CERNER (electronic medical records) Demonstrated skills and competent use of other computer applications, such as Microsoft Office packages (Outlook, Word, Excel), PDFs, and ZIP files. Highly developed administrative skills in undertaking complex and multistep tasks, including the ability to prioritise tasks Proven ability to develop and follow new systems and processes to ensure that tasks are delivered in a consistent and high quality manner. High level attention to detail, checking work for errors, and identifying and communicating issues Effective interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to communicate with patients, hospital and non-hospital teams, including correspondence via email, letters, and phone calls. Ability to work with minimal supervision, problem solve, use initiative, and adapt to change Demonstrated commitment to delivering a high quality and innovative service, and contribute positively to service improvements.
