Concord is part of a network of hospitals and healthcare services within Sydney Local Health District. What you'll be doing The Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS) Pharmacist is responsible for facilitating the effective and quality use of antimicrobials at Concord Repatriation General Hospital (CRGH) Liaise with the Infectious Diseases (ID) team and other key stakeholders to ensure delivery of a quality service supporting the organisations’ Antimicrobial Stewardship programmes To be Considered For This Role You Must Have The Following Current Pharmacist registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with no restrictions on practice. Selection Criteria Ability to apply current and good practical therapeutic knowledge in a clinical environment, especially with respect to antimicrobial agents Experience in developing, reviewing and implementing medication guidelines, policies or reports Ability to coordinate quality improvement projects such as drug use evaluations Demonstrated understanding of the priorities and requirements of an AMS programme Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated ability to use clinical evidence and judgement and communicate recommendations to influence treatment decisions made by medical teams to improve patient outcomes Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy in undertaking tasks such as dispensing, updating computer databases Demonstrated ongoing commitment to the professional development relevant to areas of practice SLHD is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing a working environment that embraces and values diversity and inclusion.
