What you'll be doing The Enrolled Nurse works under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse and assists in the provision of safe, evidence-based, person -centred nursing care in line with the policies, procedures and standards of the Ministry of Health (MoH) and other statutory authorities. Nursing care is provided utilising the principles of Trauma Informed Care and Recovery and in accordance with the National Practice Standards for Mental Health Workforce 2013 and the NSW Health Mental Health Competencies. Current registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia as an Enrolled Nurse (division 2). Understanding of how to apply the principles of Trauma Informed Care and Recovery in the care of people with mental health issues. Understanding of team nursing and demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of the multi-disciplinary health care team. Demonstrated effective communication through the use of information technology, written, verbal and interpersonal skills with the ability to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others. Knowledge and understanding of quality improvement, person- centred care and evidenced based practice. Demonstrated understanding of and ability to practice in accordance with legislation, policies and within the scope of practice for an Enrolled Nurse. Availability and capacity to participate in a 24 hour/ seven-day rotating roster which includes working all shifts, all days of the week including public holidays. Need more information?
