Established in 1938, Fresh Hope Care, an Agency of Fresh Hope (Churches of Christ in NSW), is a not-for-profit Christian organisation providing Aged Care throughout metropolitan and regional NSW. Services include a range of Home Care services designed to give elderly people the support they need to stay in their own home safely and securely for as long as possible, Retirement Living Villages and Residential Care Services. Due to an internal promotion, we are looking for an experienced Quality Officer to join the Fresh Hope Care team to monitor and assist with ongoing compliance with the Fresh Hope Care quality management framework, legislative requirements and accreditation standards. In your new role as Quality Officer, you will use your experience in quality systems and well-developed communication skills to liaise with a variety of internal stakeholders to improve organisational frameworks and develop quality documentation. You will work closely with local services to maintain their quality systems with the support of the Manager, Quality and Compliance, who you will report to and have the opportunity to learn from.

Your main responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Liaising with the Manager, Quality and Compliance on the appropriate level of policy, process and documentation requirements and integration with the Quality Management System;
• Collaborating and supporting system managers and content experts to develop documentation in line with the Quality Management Framework; identify and assist with practical improvements to documented processes; providing training as required;
• Identifying and ensuring compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements including evidence based best practice relevant to the documentation of the Care Management and Enabling Systems;
• Supporting local services in the maintenance of local quality systems that reflect the organisational processes in place and are underpinned by a continuous improvement approach.

To be successful in your new role you will need to demonstrate:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in documenting Quality Systems (including policy, processes and developing process flowcharts to capture business requirements) in a corporate environment;
• Qualification in Quality Systems or a related discipline;
• Well-developed communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with multiple stakeholders across the organisation;
• Ability and willingness to support a culture of safety, legislative compliance, quality and continuous improvement;
• Ability and willingness to work within a Christian context and Fresh Hope Care’s philosophy, vision and values;
• Knowledge of legislation, regulations and evidence based best practice relevant to aged care (desirable);
• Experience with implementing and maintaining compliance with ISO 9001 (desirable).

A current driver’s license (with willingness to travel throughout NSW) and Criminal History Check (within the last three years) suitable for aged care and are essential.
