About EACH:

At EACH, our vision is for a healthy and inclusive community.

We provide a range of health, disability, counselling and mental health services across Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, ACT and Tasmania.

We recognise that not everyone experiences life equally, due to a range of factors including gender, socio-economic status, cultural background and education level.

Our focus therefore, is about creating opportunities for equitable outcomes. No matter what someone’s starting place, we will support them to achieve their hopes and aspirations.

We embrace diversity in all its forms and respect everyone’s strength and contributions irrespective of gender, ethnicity, culture, religious beliefs, sexual orientation and political views.

An exciting new opportunity exists for a dynamic person who has significant experience in working within the family violence system and AOD or MH sector to enhance the capacity of practitioners within AOD to recognize and respond to family violence victims/survivors and perpetrators.

This Specialist AOD Family Violence Advisor Program has been developed to contribute towards recommendations 98 and 99 of the Royal Commission into Family Violence. These recommendations require the establishment of specialist family violence advisors to provide expertise to major MH and AOD services and to ultimately encourage all three sectors to collaborate through the promotion of shared casework models.

The strategic focus involves supporting the development of more integrated service response between AOD and family violence services through a broad set of activities that aim to improve service and system development; practice development and effective service responses; and workforce development and support.

One position will work primarily out of the EACH offices across Southern Melbourne (3 days Narre Warren and Cranbourne) but also be co-located in WAYYS (receiving professional supervision and peer support from WAYYS staff) as well as local drug and alcohol service providers across the catchment.

One position will work primarily out of the EACH offices in Ringwood Outer East but will also collocate with our partner EDVOS (receiving professional supervision and peer support from the EDVOS staff) as well as liaising with local drug and alcohol services providers.
