About the Department
Rehabilitation is 26 bed inpatient unit offering patients with a disability an intensive program. The aim is to restore a patient’s function to a stage that they can return home. The Rehabilitation nurse is integral to the recovery process as both the bedside clinician and the conduit between the patient and the interdisciplinary team.


About the Role

An opportunity currently exists for an Endorsed Enrolled Nurse to join the Rehabilitation team on a permanent full time basis.


Duties

• Demonstrate a person care approach in all aspects of daily nursing practice
• Administration of medication in accordance with hospital procedures, protocols and policies
• Document, observe and report relevant nursing findings within the framework of nursing progress
• Liaise with patient, patient’s family, medical and ancillary staff as required or requested
• Assist and support change, implementing process improvements

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Diploma of Nursing (inclusive of medication endorsment all 5 routes)
• Current Nursing Registration with AHPRA
• Motivated, professional and exhibiting exceptional communication and time management skills
• Previous experience working an EEN in a Rehabilitation Unit or Acute Medical is highly desirable
