OVRC is a fully accredited residential care facility in the Adelaide Hills. We have an excellent reputation for quality care and service. The hills and surrounding county landscape creates an extremely pleasant environment for residents, families and staff. Just 35 minutes from the CBD.
We are looking for an Enrolled Nurse to join our quality committed, supportive and dynamic team.
The Applicant will be expected to promote and provide positive care outcomes for residents, to support families and assist associated health practitioners.
Knowledge of care planning systems software desirable.
Job tasks and responsibilities
It is anticipated the Applicant will have experience in aged care, of legislative requirements and professional responsibilities.
The Applicant should possess a sound professional understanding of their responsibility to provide safe and effective care using a person centred approach.
The Applicant must be highly motivated and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
The Applicant is expected to be an effective team player working closely with the Registered Nurse to promote best practice.
The Applicant must have the ability to influence and educate junior staff and encourage them to obtain the optimum outcome in care of residents and values of the organisation.
The qualities of honesty and integrity are paramount in this position to ensure residents and their advocates are confident in the care provided.
Skills and experience
Professional Requirements:
Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse
Aged Care Experience
Diploma level or higher
Good knowledge of the aged care system, outcome standards and legislative requirements at EN level.
Good computer skills and ability to work with care planning computer systems
Sound analytical and report writing skills
Ability to assist RN in assessment of residents
Current drivers licence
Current police clearance certificate
Evidence of right to work in Australia
