headspace is the National Youth Mental Health Foundation providing early intervention mental health services to 12-25 years olds. The service is designed to make it as easy as possible for a young person and their family to get the help they need for problems affecting their wellbeing. This covers four core areas: mental health, physical health, work and study support, and alcohol and other drug services. Youth Focus in the lead agency for headspace Midland, Geraldton and Albany.
About the Opportunity
headspace Midland is currently seeking expressions of interest for a fully registered, unrestricted General Practitioner to work Thursday evenings in our headspace Midland centre (4:00pm ‘til 7:00pm) on a contract basis until 30th June 2019.
Working within a multi-disciplinary team and adhering to the headspace model of holistic care, practitioners will be expected to provide assessment, care planning, intervention, education and referral in an evidence-based, client-centred manner.
What we are seeking
The incumbent will be Youth Friendly and experienced in working with diverse needs in a culturally secure system of care.
The incumbent will also possess an understanding of Medicare referral, record keeping and headspace National office reporting requirements as well as an ability to adhere to the requirements of electronic data collection systems.
All our staff will also be expected to support practices that ensure quality and risk processes are of the highest standard including supporting peer review, policy implementation, clinical supervision, clinical audits and reporting of clinical incidents.
It is essential that candidates hold fellowship with RACGP/ACRRM or VR recognition.
