Australian Clinical Labs is an innovative pathology company seeking expressions of interest from suitably experienced Laboratory assistants in joining our laboratory team at the new Northern Beaches Hospital.
Recruitment to this position will commence following the completion of the process to allow current eligible Manly and Mona Vale Hospital staff, and those providing services to these hospitals, opportunity to indicate their interest in positions at the Northern Beaches Hospital.
We are seeking expressions of interest from Laboratory assistants to work in specimen reception, data entry and in other departments of the laboratory as required. You be responsible for receipting, sorting, checking of patient information and distributing biological specimens to the laboratory and entering data from request forms into the computer data system.
- Full time, part time and casual positions available
- Potential for training opportunities at other Clinical Labs locations prior to hospital opening
Selection criteria
- Excellent communication skills in dealing with internal and external clients
- The ability to prioritise specimens through interpretation of referrals
- To communicate any relevant information to the manager
- Ensure that all company WH&S requirements are observed
- Maintain a high quality, team focused, accurate and efficient work environment
- Ensure the separation of incoming samples according to the priority of order, to facilitate the quick transfer of specimens from the sorting bench to testing departments both internally and externally and accessioning of these samples.
- Maintain and initiate excellent customer service skills at all times
- Courteous and responsive phone manner
- Certificate III in pathology is desirable
