Location

We are currently looking for Registered Nurses to join our team in the following area:

  • Newcastle and Lake Macquarie

About the role

We are looking for staff that possess a passion for providing clinical expertise and high quality support services for clients in their home environment.

These positions are Full Time, Part Time and Casual

About you

In this role you will have the opportunity to utilise your sound clinical skills, expertise and compassion including:

  • Undertaking comprehensive assessments
  • Wound care and management
  • Medication management including administration of IV medications
  • Catheter management
  • Continence assessment
  • Palliative care
  • Chronic disease management
  • Be responsible for developing and monitoring a plan of care that delegates nursing duties
  • Knowledge and understanding of the principles of person-centerd care
  • Practice in accordance with legislation, policies and standards practice affecting nursing practice and expert clinical care
  • Other clinical activities required to support clients to remain in their own home such as showering assist and stand by
  • Transport and Domestic Assistance

Skills and Knowledge required

  • Current registration with AHPRA
  • Experience working with people who have complex and challenging support needs
  • Ability to work as part of a team, flexible roster, work weekend and evenings, if required
  • Excellent communication skills verbally, positively and enthusiastically with clients
  • Strong interpersonal skills and empathy for people
  • Have the ability to use discretion, take initiative and think quickly
  • Current Drivers License and own private vehicle
  • Thorough understanding of community and aged care reforms
  • Current National Police Check(validated within 3 months)
  • Current Working with Children Check
  • Recent community nursing experience
