Part-time
Salary: $93,833 (Plus 12% Superannuation & 17.5% Leave Loading) pro-rata
The Role
This new position is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of a nursing program and build the nursing workforce in remote areas. The successful applicant will be responsible for teaching within the Bachelor of Nursing program. Duties of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Providing a high quality learning experience that engages Bachelor of Nursing students utilising various methodologies including online and blended learning;
- Planning, preparing and teaching clinical block weeks for Bachelor of Nursing students;
- Developing teaching and clinical resources;
- Marking assessments and engaging in calibration and moderation activities;
- Developing and implementing strategies to monitor and maintain student academic progress;
- Providing appropriate pastoral and academic support to students.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in the role, you will:
- Have a minimum of 5 years post registration clinical experience;
- Hold a current registration with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency;
- Be able to demonstrated experience and involvement in the teaching / mentorship and supervision of nursing students;
- Have a well-developed understanding of curriculum development, accreditation and current issues in higher education;
- Hold a current and unrestricted "C" Class Drivers Licence as you will be required to work off campus and to travel to remote areas of the Kimberley, or other regions.
