Importantly, HKI is recognised as a market leader specialising in FF&E delivery and procurement. HKI provides an independent service on a wide range of health and bioscience projects.
HealthKare Intelligence (HKI) is looking for enthusiastic and motivated Biomedical Engineers to join the team based in Melbourne. The roles are rare and exciting opportunities that would suit experienced Biomedical Engineers with a passion for healthcare. The ideal candidates will be responsible for providing technical support/ coordination to the Director and wider HealthKare Intelligence (HKI) team. This role requires building strong relationships and working closely with technical consultants as well as the HKI team and deliver excellent customer service both internally and with our stakeholders. The ideal candidate will be the central point of contact to the allocated project tasks for all communication, technical documentation and resolution of issues and must be adaptable to change, enthusiastic and energetic and capable of working in a dynamic and professional environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide coordination/ support and management of Projects.
- Manage as requested the overall delivery of Projects to the expectations of the Client;
- Undertake business development activities
- Be a key interface with the Client's project management team;
- Provide leadership and management to the allocated project and extended team;
- Manage and maintain contact with customers and outside vendors.
- Preparation of technical reports;
- Provide technical advice to Clients;
- Ensure all FF&E Package activities meet budget and timeline constraints;
- Set short and long-term goals for the FF&E Package and report on the progress;
- Drive the continuous improvement of project procurement functions;
- Ensure procurement activities align with Government procurement procedures
- Development and maintenance of project spreadsheets and technical information ensuring completeness and accuracy.
- Coordinate and communicate the day to day consultant questions and project activities.
- Responsible for the review and commentary of project room data sheets and acquiring vendor technical information
- Responsible for architectural and service drawing audits
- Must be able to assess, communicate and resolve issues in a timely manner and escalate to the manager as required
- Work within agreed timeframes be responsible for allocated key deliverables
- Ensure that set deadlines are met
- Provide input into the management of HKI Quality System
- Assist in the exploration and development of new business opportunities
- Attend networking meetings as required
- Any tasks as requested by the Manager
Skills
The following skills are essential;
- Detailed understanding of medical equipment and healthcare technology;
- Significant exposure to healthcare construction projects and / or facilities management;
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering. A dual Management/Business and engineering qualification will be highly regarded;
- Ability to form effective relationships with clients, user groups and suppliers;
- Sound financial acumen and ability to manage budgets;
- Sound negotiation and influencing skills;
- Knowledge of best-practice procurement and supply chain methodologies;
- Experience working within Government procurement processes;
- Effective people management and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated well-developed interpersonal, written and oral communication skills including the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders and foster good relations, obtain feedback and ensure on-going co-operation.
- Excellent organisation and coordination skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a professional multidisciplinary team to deliver high quality, customer focused outcomes
- Ability to identify and prioritise steps which need to be undertaken for task completion, arrange necessary resources and brief necessary people
- Ability to adapt to change responses, techniques or approaches to situations or problems related to work operations to achieve the desired result
- Ability to work in a technical situation utilising various computer programs and ability to maintain and update technical information
Qualifications/Professional registration/ Other requirements
Must have a certificate, degree or work experience related to the Health /Engineering Industry. A minimum of 5 years is mandatory.
Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident with the right to work in this country.
Computer Skills
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Access) are essential
There will be a requirement to develop proficiency in
- Various Project Management Software (eg.ACONEX)
- Asset Management Software (e.g dRofus)
