POSITIONS AVAILABLE

Due to the expansion of our Employment Agency, SummitCare is seeking to appoint individuals to the following positions. Successful applicants will be appointed on a casual basis and be able to work across all SummitCare residential aged care centres in Penrith, St Marys, Liverpool, Canley Vale, Smithfield, Randwick, Waverley and Baulkham Hills.

General Services Officers will be responsible for the day to day management of catering and laundry duties.

Assistant Nurses will be responsible for ensuring that the day-to-day individual care needs of the residents are met and maintained, under the supervision and direction of the Registered Nurse.

Registered Nurses will be responsible for delivering quality resident care in accordance with the individual needs of residents, and coordination of aged care staff.

To be successful, you will:

• Demonstrate your excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Demonstrate your ability to work independently and as a member of a team

• Have experience working in Residential Aged Care

• Demonstrate your ability to achieve goals within the set time frames

• Validate your understanding of Client Directed Care

• Ensure best practice principles relating to Work Health and Safety, Infection Control and Incident Reporting are followed

• A current Criminal Record Check

• First Aid Certificate (desirable)

ABOUT YOU

The successful candidate will work to a high standard of practice to collaboratively deliver care and support that promotes client choice and control, allowing clients to direct their own care and support in line with the agreed individual care and support plan.

KEY POSITION REQUIREMENTS

General Services Officer

• Completed Certificate III in Health Support Services (Food Services)

• A Current RSA certificate

• Knowledge of Food Safety and laundry processes

Assistant Nurses:

• Completed Certificate III (or higher) in: Aged Care

• A commitment from you on your advised availability

• Willingness to develop skills in line with current care and support practices relevant to aged care

Registered Nurses:

• Current Registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA

• Experience in contributing to Clinical Policy and Governance Framework

• Proficient and competent in a range of relevant clinical skills including the composition of comprehensive clinical care plans

• Willingness to mentor and support a wider team
