About Unit 2 Dandenong Mental Health Service
Unit 2 at Monash Health Dandenong is a 25 Bed inpatient unit which sits within the Adult Bed Based Service under the Mental Health program. The service provides Youth aged from 16 to 25 years who require Mental Health Short term inpatient management and treatment during an acute or severe phase of Mental illness, through until management within the community is a safe option. Situated in Dandenong, the unit serves a culturally diverse population.
With the provision of a range of therapeutic interventions and programs, both patients and families are able to learn about the impact of illness and explore ways to better manage within their environment with coping strategies as they move toward recovery.
About the role
Unit 2 is looking for experienced Mental Health Registered and Enrolled Nurses with a passion for providing recovery Focused patient centred care to youth during an acute ot severe phase of Mental illness.
- Full time and Part time permanent positions available
- 7 day rotating rosters across all shifts
- Delivery of day to day patient care
- Clinical management and decision making
About you
- You have, or are working towards Post Graduate Qualifications in Mental Health and experience in working and providing patient care within the mental health sector in an acute hospital setting, while understanding the Mental Health Act 2014. With this, brings excellent clinical knowledge.
- You posses a patient centred approach to your provision of care and work towards making a positive difference, in line with the Monash health iCARE values
- You understand and demonstrate the values set within an organisation within every aspect of your practice and role model others to do the same
- You communicate and have the ability to work well within a team environment and demonstrate openness to change and innovation within the workplace

What you need
- Current AHPRA registration
- Current Working with Children’s Check
- Proven clinical Mental Health experience
- Postgraduate qualifications in Mental Health (or working towards this)
