About the business
We are a respiratory and sleep medicine specialist clinic in Epping, Vic.
We are looking for an Arabic speaking receptionist. Please don't apply if you are not fluent in both English and Arabic.
About the role
The role is for a part time job (2-3 days a week) with the option to increase the working hours as the practice grows.
The practice business hours are 8:30 to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8:30 to 3pm on Friday.
In terms of the day to day tasks, this role involves:
- Answering the main practice phone
- Managing bookings
- Dealing with patient questions and informing doctors as necessary
- Communicating with other clinics / specialists
- Organising investigations requested by doctors at the practice
- Billing patients after they have been seen
- Typing letters when time permits
-Helping to set up home sleep studies (training will be provided)
-Maintaining a tidy office, waiting room, consulting rooms and kitchen
Mandatory skills
The applicant need to have the following skills:
- The applicant has to be fluent in both English and Arabic ( speaking Assyrian and Chaldean as well is preferable)
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist is preferable.
- An understanding of the Medicare billing system
- An understanding of the Private Health Insurance billing system
- Strong typing skills with sound knowledge of medical terminology
- Solid time management, organisational and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task with high attention to detail
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team environment
