About the Role The Heart Failure Service at Nepean Hospital are seeking an experienced and motivated Exercise Physiologist to join our team. The position is permanent part time 0.2 FTE and will require the successful applicant to work as part of the Heart Failure team. The applicant will be required to work in a multidisciplinary team and autonomously to provide exercise assessment and programs to acute, high risk cardiovascular patients. To apply, you need to be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or hold an appropriate work visa. Selection criteria to be addressed: Tertiary qualifications in Bachelor of Exercise Science and Rehabilitation or Masters in Clinical Exercise Physiology with eligibility for accreditation with Exercise Sport Science Australia (ESSA) as an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP). Demonstrated extensive experience in providing a high standard of evidence-based clinical assessment and exercise intervention for patients with chronic and complex disease in outpatient and community settings. This includes both group and individualised interventions for cardiovascular disease. Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated effective time management skills. Demonstrated commitment to professional development and contribution to evidence based practice, research and/or quality improvement. To have a high level of computer literacy and ability to work with Microsoft Office and data entry systems. Current NSW driver’s licence. Need more information?
